Michelle Malkin said it best when she introduced the new & improved owners of the Tabacco industry.   Who does President Obama think he is.

Just comes into office, starts hiring ZARS. Buying up the companies. In most cases Forcing then to accept the  deals.

Banks,  Mortgage companies, auto industry, Tabacco industry.  Realizing our country is beyond broke. But allowing the government to step in and just take control of companies, that families have started & worked hard their whole life to make successful. That is just wrong.

The house voting to give Obama the unprecedented power over the tabacco industry. House vote was 307-97. Roll call vote here. 90 Repubs and 7 Dems said no.

The most dramatic anti-smoking initiatives since the U.S. surgeon general’s warning 45 years ago that tobacco causes lung cancer, would give the Food and Drug Administration authority to regulate the content, marketing and advertising of cigarettes and other tobacco products.

The intentions of the democrats is such a good cause. Keeping our children safe. “Doing it for the Children” seems to be one of their best ways to sucker in congress.  They forget that this was an ordinary person, just like you & I. Working hard day after day. Building a business from scratch. Being successful doesn’t mean the government should regulate it.

I have no  problem with the government informing the people if a product is not good for your health.  But they have no right to censor it, set guidelines, or tell a business what they can or cannot do .. Or how to practice their marketing.

They are stepping in as a parent.   The government actually thinks you are not a suitable parent, you don’t know how to tell your children a product can hurt them. 

Yes I have been a smoker for over 35 years. The government stepped in a made it so unaffordable to purchase the product of tobacco.  That only this last Thanksgiving I quit smoking. (Sorry RJ Reynolds)

Wondering how it worked out for my children.  2 of my children smoke & 2 of my children don’t smoke.  Yes, I told them its addicting, its harmful to their bodies.

I tried quitting before, but everyone around me,  all begged me to smoke I became a total Pain  in the rear.  Thanks to Pfizer making Chantix it was so easy to quit smoking.
